Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary: The old American standby, 1913 edition!
Hypertext Webster Gateway: Type in word (as closely as possible) and the Gateway looks it up.
Roget's Thesaurus: The classic synomym finder, with its unique thematic classification of words.
The American Sign Language Dictionary: Has animated photos showing the signing for the word you are looking up.
Bartlett's Familiar Quotations: Another classic reference book, search by author or by text string!
Quotations: Good, fun and much is contemporary.
Free Internet Encyclopedia: Micro and Macro Reference, excellent resource.
The New York Times: Subscribe free to The New York Times (but only if you live in the United States).
