Most of us believe we are fairly logical people. This test will help you find out just how logical you really are.
Read the statements numbered below and select the letters for the conclusions you think are justified by the statements. For the purposes of the test, all statements, no matter how unlikely, are assumed to be true. It may be that one, two, three or all four of the conclusions are warranted. You select only the letters for the ones you believe do follow logically from the given statements.
Remember that logic and common sense do not always agree. Logic works only with the information provided by the statements. Beware of assumptions based on information not actually given. Only Problem Number 3 requires an exercise of common sense, and this problem comes with its own clue (information given in the clue must be used to solve the problem). It is designed to test if you can distinguish why certain conclusions cannot be drawn from the given statements.
The scoring system is given on the answer page, after the answers and explanations for the problems have been given. Click on the Problem and its # (i.e., PROBLEM 1) to go to the answer and explanation for that Problem. Now be logical about this and enjoy yourself!
